Hi, we're James and Claire.

Oceara started in 2012, in the Northern Beaches of Sydney — where the coast meets considered living.

We'd been married for fifteen years by then, raising our kids by the Pacific Ocean. But over time, we noticed something frustrating: it was getting harder to find clothing that truly felt right.

Fast fashion didn't last. Premium brands cost a fortune for things that didn't fit our bodies properly. And everything was made for someone half our age.

Claire would come home from shopping trips frustrated. "Everything's either for twenty-year-olds, or makes me look like my grandmother," she'd say. I had the same problem on the men's side.

So we started Oceara from our kitchen table.

The goal was simple: comfortable, well-made clothing for Australians who'd reached the point where comfort matters as much as style. Not aimed at one age group. Not trying to make us look younger than we are. Just well-considered fashion for the way we actually live.

Over a decade later, we're proud to be part of thousands of Australian wardrobes — from Melbourne to Cairns, from busy mums in their 40s to retirees on the Gold Coast.

We're still small. We still pay attention to every detail. And every order matters to us.
